Wilderness First Aid - Alaska

Wilderness First Aid training teaches you how to appropriately manage illness and injury when transport to the nearest treatment facility will take hours or days due to being in a wilderness area, a remote rural location, or an urban area during a disaster. Designed for those who work or travel in remote locations, this course will teach you what to look for and what to do in the event of an emergency. It is accepted by state health departments across the USA and is recognized by national organizations such as the American Camp Association and the Boy Scouts of America.

Prerequisite: prior CPR & First Aid training is required, but either current or expired certifications will be accepted.

This Wilderness First Aid course is focused on hands-on training. You will be expected to view online presentations and take practice quizzes BEFORE attending the in-person class.

Bring your own food: sack lunch, grill, propane stove, etc. as the kitchen may not be available.
