Wilderness Courses

Wilderness First Aid provides information on how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care is an hour away or more, such as when in remote rural or wilderness locations or even in urban areas during a natural disaster or other situation. Designed for those who work or travel in remote locations, these courses will teach you what to look for and what to do in the event of an emergency, and will direct you to the most appropriate type of care. The course material was developed in cooperation with the American Acadamy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Certifications are issued through the Emergency Care & Safety Institute and are valid for two years.
